Concept & Design
Since its inception in 2013, the Vespa 946 has become synonymous with excellence. A true masterpiece of Italian manufacturing, the Vespa 946 Dragon is a collector’s item, a limited-edition numbered series of 1888. The body is adorned with a three-dimensional dragon motif that dances across the length of the Vespa body in a contrasting emerald green, to highlight the balance of heritage and avant-garde in the design. Numbers, representing some of the years of the dragon are presented in a collegiate font, the final touch in a meeting of cultures from Europe, Asia and the Americas.
The Details
All components of the limited edition Vespa 946 Dragon body are realized in a desaturated gold in alternating matte and gloss satin finishes, including the shield surround, the saddle and strap support, the mirror stems, the handle grips, the passenger footrests, the rear rack supports, the wheel rims and a central element of the wheel hub. A burnished gray was chosen for the more technical components, the wheel rim channel, the stud, the steering cover friezes, the bag hook, the heat shield, the handlebar control blocks, the round engine casing cap and the front fork arm cover.
