We’re joined by long time customer and friend Beau Hufford. Beau is a talented multimedia artist that has recently joined our team as creative director for our new campaign “Vespa. Everywhere.”
We discuss Beau’s fascination with scooters and how he ended up in San Diego, buying a Vespa from our shop. We then get into the “Vespa. Everywhere.” campaign and how you can participate in this exciting new adventure!
Raven Fischer is another local scooter and powersports enthusiast. She has been a friend and customer of the shop for many years and shares our love of all things with two wheels (and sometimes 4 wheels in her case). Raven runs the successful blog, Raventurous, that chronicles her journey to push the limits of her comfort zone.

Our guest this episode is Conrad Macy. Conrad has been involved in the San Diego scooter scene since the early 80’s and operated his own independent scooter repair service in town. Conrad talks about everything from his first scooter, to building a water piston engine, to working on monkey space missions in Russia! You heard us right, “monkey space missions in Russia”!
We welcome local music icon Bart Mendoza to the show. Not only has Bart been a legend in the San Diego music scene since the 80’s, he’s ridden his Vespa for just as long! Bart is responsible for acts such as Manual Scan and The Shambles, as well as producing articles for just about every publication in town. Bart fills us in on his history in the San Diego Mod Scene and his love of scooters and music.
Episode 9 We sit down with local scooterist Kevin Fahy. We chat with him about his early days as a Mod in Birmingham. Kevin tells us about his customized Lambrettas and other bikes he’s had over the years, how he came to the USA, and what he’s up to now.
